The right answer always wins
Answer questions in your text and rank higher in Google
How do you generate visitors to your website? For example, do you use keyword research or do you mainly focus on advertisements? Today, we're sharing a new way for you: writing content that helps your reader solve a problem. Answer questions in your text and rank higher in Google. So it's not only good for your visitor, but also for your SEO!
Problem-solving content
'Content that allows your reader to solve a problem', what exactly do we mean by that? Google changed its algorithm (the formula for answering search queries) in 2021. From now on, texts that answer the questions in search queries will be better valued and therefore appear higher in the search results. So when the texts on your site give bite-sized answers, it ensures that your rankings improve.
How do you apply it?
Think about what your product or service means to your (potential) customer. How does your product or service help your customers in their daily lives and what questions do they have about the subject? Include these questions and answers in your text.
For example, if you sell central heating boilers, you can post a product overview, with the type and description of the different boilers. But you can also look at what people are searching for around the subject of central heating boilers. How much does a central heating boiler cost? Can I install another one in 2021? Or is that no longer allowed because 'we have to get rid of gas? Can I install a central heating boiler myself? When you give a bite-sized answer to the 'problems' or 'questions' that people have, Google pulls your answer, directly from your website, and presents it in a list of 'people also ask'.
Another example: a bicycle shop can answer all kinds of questions related to bicycles on its website, in addition to offering bicycles and bicycle parts. So what are some nice cycling routes around Utrecht?', 'How do I install a bike rack on the front of the bike?', or 'How do I fix a tyre?'. These tips, tutorials or step-by-step plans answer the question that a (potential) customer has. The customer may now fix the bike himself using the step-by-step plan, or bring it to you to stick due to lack of time. Or maybe the customer buys that expensive anti-puncture tire you mention in the solution.
Even better: can you make an explanation or tutorial video and post it on Youtube? Youtube is part of the Google family and can therefore be prominently displayed in the search results, provided that your video gives a clear answer to the question. Whatever the customer chooses, you'll help him or her with your solution-oriented content, and reach new customers in the process.
Add Q&A widgets and provide structure
How can you structurally incorporate this content that gives a good answer or is 'problem-solving' into your website? See if you can incorporate the information into 'Frequently Asked Questions', a 'How-to' step-by-step plan, a glossary or a tutorial video. Widgets can help with this. By placing the content via a widget, you can centrally manage the questions or concepts and enable them on the relevant pages.
Oh yes, and those anti-puncture tires are highly recommended, never fix tires again!
